Economics

The Department of Economics was created with the establishment of the College in the year 1979. Political Science is offered at both graduate and postgraduate levels. While B.A. was started in 1979 and was approved in 1979 by Kumaon University. The Economics department at our college offers a comprehensive curriculum that covers a wide range of topics related to the study of economic systems and behavior. Students can expect to learn about microeconomics, macroeconomics, international economics, and econometrics, as well as specialized topics such as public economics, labor economics, and economic development. The department also encourages students to participate in research and internships, allowing them to gain real-world experience and apply their knowledge to current economic issues. Graduates of the program will have a strong understanding of economic theory and the ability to analyze and solve economic problems.

The Department of Economics was established by Government Order No. 2721/5 (20) 28/02/79 dated 11/01/1979. Permanent affiliation was granted to the department at graduate level on 01/07/1991 by mandate number 2436 G Lucknow 227132 dated 28/04/1993.
From 1991 teaching work started at post graduate level. Government Order No. 3011 / G S Education / Affiliation / 2007 Granted permanent affiliation w.e.f. 01/2006 vide dated 27th February 2008.
