Political Science

The Department of Political Science was created with the establishment of the College in the year 1979. Political Science is offered at both graduate and postgraduate levels. While B.A. was started in 1979 and was approved in 1979 by Kumaon University. The Political Science program at our college provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the study of governments, politics, and public policy. The curriculum is designed to introduce students to the major theoretical perspectives and research methods used in the field of political science. Students will take a variety of courses that cover topics such as political theory, comparative politics, international relations, American government, and research methods. The program also allows students to specialize in specific areas of political science such as international relations, public policy, and political theory. Additionally, students have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through internships, fieldwork or research opportunities. The program also prepares students for graduate studies or career opportunities in fields like law, public service, international organizations, and research. Overall, the BA Political Science program offers a diverse and in-depth education in the study of governments, politics, and public policy.
